I have a current PC (3GHz P4, 1G memory and P875 based MB from Gigabyte.) So my question is a bit standards based as well - is there risk that Canopus will dump Edius over time or Adobe dump Premiere (sp?)? I only want to make this jump once. I would like to continue to use DVD Workshop as I know it. Given I need to change, and want to do it with forsight, should I learn Edius with Storm or Premiere ? The editing I do is only home video stuff and always burn DVDs. Now I am very PC competent and can learn about anything with time. I had picked MSP and DVRaptor years ago based on the great advice from Bob Crabtree and that has always worked - the UI was easy to learn and understand. Upon looking at the card feedback is that Edius is the better app due to integration. I am looking at new cards and thinking mainly about Storm 2 as Canopus has always worked for me. Guys, been editing for about 10 years now on the old DVRaptor and MSP 6.5 and now have to change complete systems due to lightening strike at the house.
